EYELASH EXTENSIONS
WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Eyelash extensions are similar to hair extensions but they're on your eyelashes. It is an individual lash, pre handmade fan or handmade fan of lashes directly adhered to each individual lash the you have. It is applied with an ultra sensitive semi-permanent eyelash extension glue which is made to dry in 1-3 seconds with low fumes so it does not irritate the eyes at any point.
Each lash tech lashes differently, it has nothing to do with time or price. It is
how much love they put into their work but most importantly, where they did
their training and the experience they have. Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Russians and Megas will look different on every single one of us! Even though the photos on our website show the thickness of volume and the mix of hybrid, it does not necessarily mean it will look like that on you! Everyone has different lashes with different growth cycles and eye shapes. Some people have sparse thin lashes and others are gifted with long and thick lashes. The weight and health of your natural lashes will depend on what we recommend you have done, If you don't have many lashes but want a hybrid look you will be recommended to go Volume as hybrid will not give you much thickness if your natural lashes are quite sparse. However if you are someone who is truly gifted with thick, bold lashes; Classics could look more like hybrids. All the styles and what we recommend can be discussed one on one upon arriving to your appointment. It is noted that you arrive on time or 10 mins early so everything runs smoothly. If you are late than your appointment time will be cut short. We will not run late for our next clients who are on time.
We recommend you head to our website before your appointment to see what you want and what you think will suit you! We will go through all options and styles with you however we will always go with your final decision. Your face, your choice. If we truly think your lashes may not be able to hold the certain style you want or your lashes are too weak we will not continue with the service and ask that you look for another eyelash technician. If this does happen please know that we are only trying to care for you and your lashes and we do not want you to end up with no lashes at all due to breakage and irritation.
Please give yourself 1.5 -2.5 hours for a full set and 1 hour for refills depending on what style you are wanting, Session times are shown below on each different lash extension style. Please note that more time may be needed depending on the individuals lashes,
LENGTH AND THICKNESS
The length of lashes can change depending on whatever style you want. If you have classics you can have long or short lashes. If you go mega volume you can have long or short lashes. The difference between all styles is the THICKNESS. the Volume of the lashes change as the style goes up. The length stays the same.
We ask you at the start of your appointment what style and length your after; followed by what we recommend and the longest length we can give you. NOTE we can not give you the longest length possible is you have short natural lashes. For a healthy lash growth and continuous refill without damage to your natural lashes we must make sure the length we choose is a healthy length for you and your lashes.
CARING FOR YOUR LASHES
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
No residue of Mascara or eye-make up left of lashes day of appointment as it will make it harder to add lashes to your natural lash; and if any of the residue products have oil or moisturiser in them you will find your lash extensions will fall off within days of your appointment. Please clean your lashes before appointment, with lashes dry for at least 1 hour before your appointment. If you come to your appointment with eye make up on unfortunately your appointment will have to be rescheduled.
AFTER CARE
Once i have lashed you, you must take care of your new lashes as if they were your new born baby! Brush them daily, clean them daily and care for them!
Avoid water directly on lashes for the first 24 hours . If you are a face sleeper be prepared to have your refills sooner then normal as rough sleeping can cause breakages/lash loss.
CLEANING
Eyelash extensions must be cleaned as often as you wash your body. If you apply make up, mascara or eye make - up, you MUST clean it off your lashes so it doesn't build up between the new lash growing and your extension. If there is a build up between the gap it can cause a coating around your lashes which may cause your lashes to fall off sooner. And if you come to your appointment with residue from uncleaned lashes it will make your refills last a week..
Any cleanser you use to clean your lashes MUST be OIL FREE. Our foam cleanser is highly recommended to use at it pro-longs the retention time, it removes make-up, oil build up and dry skin.
