YES OUR SPRAY TANS ARE PREGNANCY SAFE!
The Cosmetic Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) confirm that spray tan and self-tanning products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding (lactating mothers may choose to avoid the breast area during the breast-feeding stage). Although there are no known dangers of using tanning products in those areas, they can sometimes cause an allergic reaction, particularly during pregnancy when hormone levels are high and skin becomes more sensitive. As with all tanning treatments, it is recommended that a patch test is undertaken at 24 hours before a tanning treatment and that this is of paramount importance for pregnant women, For anyone with a pre-exsiting condition or existing health concern, we do advise our pregnant clients to consult their Doctors prior to starting a tanning regime.

PRIOR TO YOUR SPRAY TAN
- Exfoliate 24 hours before your spray tan. Exfoliate your whole body (especially your elbows & knees or any dry areas)
- Shower at least 2 hours before your tan so we allow enough time for your pores to close and your skin is completely dry.
- Shave 24 hours before your tan so we allow enough time for your pores to close. (shaving while your tan is on will strip a layer of your tan off)
- Wax 48 hours before you tan as you need enough time to be able to exfoliate over the areas to blend into the areas that are not waxed. (if you wax and then tan, you will see the patches of where you started and stopped. Your tan will also not hold on the freshly waxed areas as the pores will soak in the tan or run off once in the shower.)
- Remove any perfumes, deodorant, make-up, moisturisers or any oils on your body.
- WEAR BAGGY CLOTHING. Tight clothing will cause your tan to rub off onto your clothing!

WHILE YOUR TAN IS PROCESSING
- Wear baggy clothing. Tight clothing will cause your tan to rub off onto your clothing.
- Do not sweat! Wait 24 hours AFTER you have washed your tan off to sweat! (sweating will lighten the tan)
- Do not shower until you are ready for the tan to stop developing! (although the tan continues to develop after you have showered, you will still stop the tan from developing any darker if you wash it off too soon.)
- Do not spray deodorant or any perfumes onto the skin while your tan is developing, this will cause patches!
- If you are sleeping in your tan, sleep with a sheet or towel between your legs, or pants to ensure you do not sweat any tan off while you are sleeping. When skin touches skin while the tan is developing will cause patches and your tan will not hold on those areas.

AFTER YOUR TAN
-Once you have washed your tan off, moisturise! By moisturising you will pro-long the life of your tan, it will stop your skin from drying out and it will give your tan a nice silky glow!
- Your first shower should be quick and Luke-warm, hot showers may cause your tan to wash off quicker or seep into your pores quicker which will cause the tan to not last as long as it can.
- Moisturise after EVERY shower, by doing this you are prolonging the life of the tan.
- Once you hit day 4 or 5 you can start to lightly exfoliate daily to naturally remove your spray tan.
Depending on your skin type and how dry you are, all depends how long the tan will last.
Avoid wearing tight clothing unless necessary.

WE DO NOT SPRAY TAN IF YOU ARE SUNBURNT, HAVE FRESH TATTOOS THAT ARE NOT COVERED UP, FRESH EYEBROW TATTOOING, ANY FRESH SURGERY THAT YOUR SCAR IS VISIBLE OR JUST HAD EYEBROW TINTING OR HENNA BROW.
